DTF Pressing Instruction
To get the best results from your Inkjet Xpress DTF transfers, follow these instructions carefully. Our transfers are designed to deliver vibrant color, soft feel, and long-lasting durability β if pressed properly! πͺ
π§ Pressing Equipment Needed:
-
Heat Press Machine (not a Cricut or iron)
-
Parchment Paper or Teflon Sheet
-
Lint Roller (optional but helpful)
-
Heat-Resistant Tape (optional for positioning)
π£ Step-by-Step Pressing Instructions:
1οΈβ£ Pre-Press the Garment
-
Set your heat press to 300Β°F β 325Β°F (149Β°C β 163Β°C)
-
Press the blank garment for 5 to 7 seconds
-
This removes wrinkles and moisture that can affect adhesion
-
Use a lint roller before pressing to eliminate debris and fibers π§Ό
2οΈβ£ Position the Transfer
-
Place your DTF transfer face up (design side up) on the garment
-
The adhesive side (matte side) should touch the fabric
-
Align it exactly where you want it pressed β use heat-resistant tape if needed for clean placement π―
3οΈβ£ Press Settings
-
π₯ Temperature: 300Β°F β 325Β°F
-
β±οΈ Time: 10 β 15 seconds
-
πͺ Pressure: Medium to Firm (40β60 psi)
Not enough pressure = poor adhesion or flaking
Too much heat = color burn or glue spread
4οΈβ£ Peel Method
-
βοΈ Cold Peel (Recommended):
Let the shirt cool completely (20β30 seconds), then peel the film slowly and smoothly from one corner. Best for clean edges and long-lasting wear. -
π₯ Hot Peel (Optional):
Peel immediately after pressing while hot for faster workflow. May result in slightly glossier finish. Use only with high-quality garments.
5οΈβ£ Final Press (VERY IMPORTANT!)
-
After peeling, place parchment paper or a Teflon sheet over the print
-
Re-press for 5 to 10 seconds using the same temperature
-
This melts the adhesive fully into the fibers and increases wash durability π
Skipping this step can result in cracking or premature peeling!
π§Ό Washing & Care Instructions

β Turn inside out before washing
β Wash cold on gentle cycle
β Avoid bleach or fabric softeners
